Valderice is set below Monte Erice between the hills and the Tirreno sea, an area which enjoys a favourable geographical position and climate. Most of the districts have retained the characteristics of their agricultural activities and craftwork.Valderice is centrally positioned and is surrounded by Erice, Segesta and the Riserva Orientato dello Zingaro. An ideal base for visiting other places of interest. The open air theatre of San Barbara, which is housed in an old stone cave is splendid. Plays, operas, concerts, ballets and choral performances take place here. It is also the setting for cinema festivals in the summer.
