Santa Caterina is a “white paradise” where the blue sky and the white snow make a grand winter scene. Ski lifts that go to an altitude of 2900 metres with slopes always perfectly covered in snow, thanks also to a modern programmed snow installation system skiing can be assured from December to April. The 15 km cross-country track winds through thick coniferous woodlands amidst a fairy-tale landscape with both tourist and competitive trails. Santa Caterina is in the centre of the Stelvio National Park, in summer it becomes a natural green spectacle which offers a series of proposals for a holiday of quality in a natural environment. It is during the summer months that the mountains really come to life with their typical mountain huts and the high altitude pasturelands where the people from the mountains still maintain their typical agriculture even though it is no longer profitable but certainly full of real flavours and genuine products.
