San Pietro In Cariano Situated at 160 metres above sea level, San Pietro is one of the many ancient communities in the province of Verona which date from prehistoric times. In historical and architectural terms the most important building is the parish church of San Floriano, a well-preserved Romanesque building which dates from around the 12th century. Little remains however of the castle for which the nearby village of Castelrotto is named. Given its prominence in the past, the area is home to a wealth of impressive villas and patrician residences. We live in Valpolicella, in the foothills of the Dolomites, between Garda lake and Verona. The valley is cultivated with cherry trees, olive trees and vineyards. Our valley almost magically produces world-famous red wines: "Valpolicella", the "Amarone" and the "Reciotto", not to mention the nearby whites: Soave, Custoza and Lugana. In this beauty we have restored an old stone tobacco drying barn to make our home, generous rooms for the Bed and Breakfast and additional space for workshops. Besides the natural beauty and quiet our laboratories are available to guests to work with clay and to satisfy the curiosities of the palate from food to wine.
