Sulla costa sorge Castel di Tusa, ridente frazione dotata di una suggestiva insenatura che assume un aspetto principale come attrattiva del turismo di natura balneare.Attualmente l'economia si basa sulla agricoltura e sulla pastorizia. Le colture principali sono gli ulivi, i cereali, la vite e gli agrumi. Estesi sono i boschi (castagneti) ed i pascoli che favoriscono l'allevamento di ovini, bovini e suini. Aziende artigiane operano nei settori alimentari, del legno e dei materiali da costruzione. Buone risorse sono la pesca e il commercio di ortofrutticoli e il bestiame.
