Bolsena The Castello Monaldeschi dominates the medieval quarter, the Upper town of Bolsena. The square castle with its corner towers is an old construction of the 12th century, which has been completely renovated and now houses the Museo Territoriale. The museum contains a lapidarium, historical hints on the vulcanic activities of the area, a prehistoric and an Etruscan section, a documentation of the ancient town of Volsinii, which can be visited at approx. 1,5 km from town on the road to Orvieto at Poggio Moscini, the Dionysian throne of the 2nd century BC, the history of the castle and various medieval remains. Bolsena gives its name to Lake Bolsena, a crater lake of central Italy, of volcanic origin. Charming apartments with restaurant service, your holiday in a pleasant and relaxing environment that offers an incredible variety of sight-seeing with cultural, gastronomic and wine-tasting excursions in the regions of Latium, Umbria and Tuscany. The farm-house is on the shore of the Lake of Bolsena. Our Farm consists of kiwi, plum and olive orchards. One of these, which covers about 10 hectares (over 22 acres), is centered around an old stone farmhouse dating back to 1850 and its attached rural buildings. The complex has been restructured into eight apartments able to accommodate from 2 to 7 people with a large grassy area in front for relaxing and playing.
