The "La Locanda della Valle Nuova" Holiday Farmhouse is right beside Urbino, a city recently recognised by UNESCO as a "World Heritage Site", immersed in a fine hilly landscape amongst peace and quiet, marked out by wild fauna and age-old oak trees, still today protected as during the age of the Dukes of Montefeltro. The "Locanda" Lodging House is run in full respect of the environment and the well-being of the guests. All the rooms, for example, are sound-proofed, have heat insulation and use renewable-energy heating and water systems. The water is also softened. The 75 hectares of land in the farm, cultivated using biological farming systems since 1981, produce wheat, grapes and fruit and vegetables. After moving around the world, here we are at last in Italy. Except for short spells, we were abroad for several decades! Francesco left Sicily for Switzerland in 1970, working as a ministry official for the Italian Foreign Office. He later worked in Turkey, Poland, Singapore and Australia. Rosanna left Friuli in 1992 for Sydney where she worked for the Italian Ministry of Education. We met and got married in the shade of the Opera House, and a few years later set off again - this time for Paraguay in South America.

In the territory of Tolentino, the "Agriturismo Colle Regnano" is dipped in the soft hills of Macerata and pointed out on the Sibillini Mountains, in a panoramic position at 400 m. of altitude. It is a typical farm of the regional countryside of the XVII century. It has been restructured in the complete respect of the environment and the man, using only naturals materials, with techniques of bio-building and bio-ecological architecture.

This mid-18th-century farmhouse is located in the central Italian region of Marche and has exceptional panoramic views of Camerino and the Sibylline Mountains. The latest renovation, completed in 2008, has retained the original architectural features.
