Minori è un incantevole e ben attrezzato paese di mare a meno di sei chilometri da Amalfi. Il suo nome deriva dall'antica denominazione latina "Rheginna Minor", che derivava a sua volta dal fiume Rheginna, che corre tuttora attraversando tutta la valle occupata dal paese. Come per gli altri centri della Costiera, Minori nacque come insediamento residenziale dei patrizi romani, che scelsero la Costa Amalfitana per la sua bellezza e per la mitezza del clima. Le prime attività commerciali a Minori furono la produzione artigianale di carta e pasta prima, e di liquori e specialità al limone (tipico prodotto della zona) poi, attività che vengono svolte ancora oggi nel rispetto della tradizione e della genuinità dei prodotti locali. Da visitare a Minori la villa romana di epoca pompeiana e la Basilica di Santa Trofimena, come anche le chiese di Santa Lucia, San Gennaro e San Michele.

After a beautiful stay in Ravello we were so delighted to discover that our hotel in Minori was all we'd dreamed of and more. Overlooking the water and fishing boats and the most lovely town of Minori, everything was perfect including the view of the mountains.

Great place to stay, the staff were more than welcoming and were very helpful. The bedroom was good size with a great and well equiped bathroom. The TV was a little confusing to use, but I wasn't there to watch that I had a great view to watch instead.
