We loved our stay at Cavarchino, and it was one of the highlights of our trip through Italy.
When we first arrived, we were a bit disappointed to learn that the pool was closed. The weather was warm and beautiful, and after a long and busy trip, we had been really looking forward to relaxing by the pool. I was also slightly disappointed to see that the view from our window was slightly marred by a huge construction crane.
However, the disappointed was forgotten when we got inside and saw how cozy, pretty, and impeccably clean our accommodations were---and they were half the price of the other B & Bs we had considered in the area.
Andrea and Patricia were warm and welcoming, and their adorable puppy, Penny, was charming. They were so gracious and helpful, in spite of the language barrier---they made dinner reservations for us at Brolio (where we were served a beautiful, romantic five-course meal for a bargain price because Andrea made the reservation for us)---by the time we left, we felt that we were saying goodbye to friends.
Cavarchino's location is perfect for exploring the Chianti region. We were a few minutes driving distance to some of local sites like Badia a Coltibuono, Castello di Brolio and Vertine (which are not spectacular, but that we enjoyed exploring); we were a one-minute drive from the town center of Gaiole, where we were able to grab a superb, leisurely lunch at the one restaurant that was open, Il Boccan di Bacco (be aware that most of the town shuts down in the middle of the day), or grab a snack at the grocery store. It is also a 20-30-minute drive to the beautiful Siena.
During our stay in Gaiole, we toured Badia a Coltibuono, which is another place we had considered staying before we booked Cavarchino. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the wine tour there, but I have to say, I was glad we had decided not to stay there. It was twice the cost of Cavarchino, and it would not have been worth the money. It was not as warm, comfortable, or friendly as Cavarchino. And its pool was closed as well. The accommodations did not warrant the cost.
If we ever return to Tuscany, we will definitely be staying at Cavarchino again, and we would highly recommend it to any friends and family who travel to that region as well.

Il soggiorno e' stato superiore alle nostre aspettative da tutti i punti di vista. La casa e'' molto bella e in una posizione ottimale, immersa tra vigne ed uliveti, nel silenzio, e cio' nonostante a distanza di pochi minuti dai servizi principali nel Borgo di Gaiole in Chianti e a 15 minuti in macchina dei borghi più belli della Toscana. Il B&B e' attrezzato per tutte le necessita' e i propietari Andrea & Patrizia sono persone molto simpatiche e disponibili, una vera miniera di informazioni sulla Toscana e sulla storia, sui luoghi. I loro suggerimenti ci hanno aiutato a sfruttare al meglio i giorni tracsorsi in Chianti. Una vacanza ideale per chi cerca non solo la tranquillità ma anche aspetti culturali.

Ottima struttura curata nei minimi dettagli, dagli spazi comuni alle pulitissime camere. L'ospitalita' sincera e gioiosa dei titolari Patrizia e Andrea unitamente ai loro consigli ha reso ancor piu' piacevole il nostro breve soggiorno nel Chianti. La buona colazione, un'ampia e gradevole piscina a sfioro inserita in un grande giardino, completano il quadro della struttura, considerato anche l'onesto costo e trattandosi di un B&B.

We spent two nights at Cavarchino B & B and had a wonderful stay. We had a lovely room with great views to the hills of Chianti. We were given many suggestions of places to visit including the most charming little village up the hill from the B & B. The breakfasts were delicious and ample. We were able to walk to town for dinner. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and friendly service.

Andrea and Patrizia are excellent hosts. They cheered us as we rode our bikes up the hill to the B&B, helped us get medical attention for one of our group - there were four of us traveling by bike only- on a weekend, and had the greatest recommendations for dinners and small villages to visit. We ate at a castle near Gaiole, which we never would have even heard of of without them. The accommodations are lovely and convenient for travel by bike, car or even hiking in the Chianti Region. We saw more than we could have expected in three days, thanks to Andrea and Patrizia. As we hugged goodbye, we knew that we would see them again, at their B&B or at our home.

The hotel is absolutely charming. It has great personality and we enjoyed the antique feel of it. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was simple but very adequate. The position in the heart of the village (in the main square) was ideal, and we did not mind the steep climb up some steps to get to the hotel (this could be a problem for the less mobile).

Very comfortable accommodation, rooms nice, decorated in a typically tuscan style and great view over Gaiole. Lots of steps leading up to the B&B made it hard work with the cases! Breakfast simple, not a lot of choice but adequate.

The location and monastery are stunning. The gardens are a lovley place to sit and read and relax. The tasting was also superb. We had a tasting menu in the restaurant in the evening too. Whilst it was expensive it was delicious and the service was very good.

Nuestra estancia en Cavarchino fue simplemente de lujo! Andrea y Patrizia son unas finisimas personas, siempre nos hicieron sentir en casa. Nos acojieron como si fuermos de su familia! Apesar de la diferencia de idiomas, siempre hicieron el esfuerzo de comunicarse con nosotros.
La casa en si, esta linda! Tiene cuartos ensuite bellisimos. El desayuno tipico Italiano lo extrañamos de todo corazon! Siempre riquisimo! Mi esposo y yo fuimos a pasar nuestra luna de miel en Cavarchino, y fue sinceramente una experiencia maravillosa! La casa se postra entre las colinas y esta rodeada de viñas y un sin fin de campos verdes!
100[[[]]%[]] recomendado para los que viajan en de luna de miel, para los que quieren pasar unos dias tranquilos en la provincia, o para los que van a tomar un delicioso vino Chianti Classico!

My wife and I have stayed at numerous bed & breakfasts in the US, Europe and Asia, but our stay at Cavarchino was by far the most pleasant. Never before have we experienced such a friendly welcome. The rooms are impeccable, and the breakfast was delicious (freshly baked cakes every day, and excellent prosciutto, bread, cheese, coffee). We'll definitely be back!

Per noi soggiornare da Cavarchino B&B ha voluto dire essere stati ospiti di Patrizia e Andrea: due persone che ci hanno offerto ospitalità con cordialità, simpatia e discrezione. E non é poco! Gli ambienti, ristrutturati con gusto, ci sono sembrati frutto di una ricerca accurata di accostamenti di colori, arredi e suppellettili. Il risultato é molto gradevole. Tutto questo é inserito in un bel ambiente naturale. Sicuramente ritorneremo appena possibile.......

By chanche I happened to be at this delightful Bed & Breakfast, where I found a nice environment and very kind persons. Water and fruits are available at every time for free. In the morning you will wake up to the sweet smell of Patriazia's homemade cakes. You can also ask the owner about the places of interest and history of Chianti valley as they have a deep knowledge of the region. Perfect place to go!

Both my wife and I stayed at B&B Cavarchino in late September into early October to participate in L' Eroica, a historical bicycle event.
Our impressions were extremely positive from the very beginning. B&B Cavarchino is positioned a on a hill over looking the town of Giaole in Chianti, with views of vineyards and distant villas. Yet it is only a 7 minute walk into town. B&B Cavarchino had been restored to a high level of craftsmanship, with attention to detail. I felt as though I staying in my own private villa. Andrea, the owner was a gracious host, he made us feel most comfortable. When we were out late one night, he took it on his own to go out looking for us. The group of us piled into his SUV, he then gave us an extremely memorable late night tour of the tiny village of Vertine. The breakfasts were hardy, the rooms were impeccably cleaned by a cheerful staff. When we stayed at Cavarchino with Andrea, it was as though we were staying with an Italian cousin- he made us feel welcome. We truly look forward to staying at B&B Cavarchino again.

Eccellente struttura, ottimo panorama, sito veramente tranquillo, ospitalità ottima. Gestori cordiali ed affabili, pronti a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta degli avventori, comprese le indicazioni su cosa andare a visitare nei dintorni, sui ristoranti migliori della zona e sui negozi dove acquistare i migliori prodotti locali. Nel complesso eccellente rapporto qualità/prezzo. Sicuramente un posto dove tornare a trascorrere alcuni giorni di ottimo relax.

La cura nei dettagli e negli arredi, dal gusto molto raffinato contraddistinguono questa struttura meravigliosa immersa in un paesaggio da favola. Fantastici i padroni di casa, esperti consiglieri sia dell'organizzazione dei vari itinerari (è infatti un' ottima base per esplorare le vicinissime Siena e Firenze) che nel consigliare i caratteristici e gustosi ristoranti e locali della zona. Un pò di relax in piscina dopo una giornata in giro, persi tra antichi profumi e sapori toscani di una volta. In poche parole: un angolo di paradiso nel cuore del Chianti che non vedo l'ora di riabbracciare!

Un luogo stupendo gestito da persone magnifiche. Le stanze dotate di ogni confort e tutte con vista stupenda, la piscina che domina il borgo di Gaiole sono solo di contorno alla fantastica accoglienza dei proprietari. Non potreste desiderare di più dall'ospitalità Toscana... non lasciatevelo scappare!!! Noi già non vediamo l'ora di tornarci.

As I was organizing a wedding close by I had been looking for extra accommodation for some guests and came across Cavarchino B&B, Patrizia was extremely lovely and very helpful with sorting out the accommodation for the guests and as I also needed to stay in the area I decided to stay here too. The rooms are really comfortable and clean and have everything you could possibly need during your stay. Breakfast was a vast delicious buffet, cold cuts, cheese, pastries, home made cakes and coffee in abundance. Patrizia and Andrea couldn't do enough, they were extremely friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend the Cavarchino to anyone who is looking for a place with a personal touch and home from home feel and maybe even a small intimate wedding.

Posto semplicemente fantastico immerso nel Paradiso delle colline del Chianti. Panorami mozzafiato gustati con succulente colazioni rigorosamente casereccie, tutto questo unito alla grande ospitalita', meravigliosa e calda accoglienza ed estrema professionalita' dello staff rendono questo posto unico e magico. Inoltre dobbiamo anche segnalare la bellezza delle camere che si intona perfettamente con lo splendido paesaggio, molto curate e sempre pulite. La ciliegina finale e' la piscina immersa nel verde che permette di rilassarsi con le colline chiantigiane intorno.
Sono bastati pochi giorni a Cavarchino per toglierci lo stress di tutti i giorni farci rilassare come poche volte, se non mai, ci e' successo in vacanza, sentendoci a casa nostra senza il traffico della citta' ma con il Paradiso del Chianti intorno.
Lo consiglamo vivamente a tutti e vedrete che la penserete come noi dopo pochi minuti che sarete arrivati.
