Casa della Maestà

Located just a few kilometres from Modena in the old historic city centre of Nonantola, here at "Casa della Maestà" you are guaranteed a lovely stay in a charming Art Nouveau Villa from the beginning of the 20th Century which has been skilfully restructured to maintain its original look. The very name "Casa della Maestà (His Majesty's Home)" is due to the presence of a "Majestic" statue in the corner of the garden here at the Villa; in the past, the custom was that the possessions of the Benedictine Abbey in Nonantola were distinguished by a column, a sacred symbol.

"Casa della Maestà" offers guests two large bedrooms which share a bathroom. The rooms have TVs, mini-bars and independent entrances and are furnished with stylish old furniture. The Villa is also surrounded by a lovely garden with fruit trees and rose bushes. Enjoy your breakfast here when the weather is nice. On request, then, you can go on guided tours of the local "vinegar makers" and well-known carmakers like Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini.

Do not miss Nonantola itself, with its lovely "San Silvestro" Benedictine Abbey, the two medieval towers, the Bolognesi tower and the Modenesi tower plus, of course, the old San Michele Parish church and the Santa Filomena Church.
