The "Agriturismo Querciagrossa" farmhouse residence, created by means of careful and affectionate restoration of an ancient country house built at the end of the 1800's, is located right in the heart of the Valdichiana region, really near Cortona and Montepulciano, between the small towns of Cignano and Chianacce. In a splendid hilly position, the area is dominated by the valley all around and the residence grows grain, sunflowers, corn and Merlot grapes. The breathtaking panorama, then, winds through the lovely countryside and the countryside is spattered with old colonial homes and cypress and olive trees. The best thing, however, is the amazing range of precious land and sky colours.

The building has two floors and is almost 100[[[]]%[]] brick. The other building materials are the typical building materials used in old colonial homes: Tuscan stone flooring, wooden beams and stone staircases. The property has a lovely large local-style entrance area and five apartments, all furnished in style and boasting all mod cons.

You can enjoy the stunning panoramas here from inside the huge garden or the large Tuscan stone terrace or even the large swimming pool, which is yours to use. Olive trees, chestnut trees and fruit and cypress trees provide a little bit of shade in this sunny sunny garden: relax here on the green lawns and elegant gravel pathways. An elegant lighting system, then, means you can use these areas during the long fresh Summer evenings.

Another extra for guests staying here is the fully-equipped Kids Play area, as well as a bowling green, a table tennis table and mountain-bikes for relaxing rides in the lovely countryside here.

On request, you can take Italian lessons, photography courses, food and wine tasting and guided visits to the wine cellars at nearby Montepulciano or to nearby cities of art, all organised by locals who are extremely skilled and informed, and friendly too.
