Symbol of the village and important stop along the pilgramage accross the Via Francigena is the famous fortress ("rocca") which dominates the principle piazza in all its grandness. The fortress of Camporgiano is an example of military architecture dating back to the fourth century.

Protected by the fortress and next to the ruins of the old bell tower is the Bed &Breakfast "In Casetta", made from a converted hay-loft which served the stables and which has been restructured and furnished with period furniture.

In the village centre, near the bus stop and at a stones throw from the railway station, our Bed and Breakfast represents the ideal starting point for many excursions in Garfagnana with trekking itineraries of various levels of difficulty on foot, horse-back or by mountain bike.
