La Fonte del Cieco
A small and comfy hotel to discover the Chianti beauty

Hotel "La Fonte del Cieco" is situated in a picturesque corner of the village, not far from the ancient fountain "Del Cieco" which, in the past, supplied water for all the inhabitants of the square, and today gives the Hotel its name.The building, which was originally an old country house, has been carefully restored by skillful artisans and overlooks the main square of the small Chianti village

The Hotel was opened in 1999 as the result of the restoration of Tuscan villa dating back to 1907. The 8 rooms, all with private bathroom, independent heating, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar. The style is typically Tuscan, with wooden ceilings and old-style furniture.

The hotel works as bed and breakfast: in spring and summer breakfast is served in the garden and under the pergola and it includes a full buffet with typical products. Italian and international newspapers are at guests disposal every morning

The reception and the bar is at our guests' disposal from 7 am till 7 pm for any requests: restaurant bookings, visits to wineries and castles, bike rentals, hiking and horseback riding, tennis courts. Everything is just a few kilometres away from the hotel.

"La Fonte del Cieco" is a perfect starting point to visit the Chianti area and the historical cities such as Siena, Florence, Arezzo. Vald'Orcia, Crete, Montepulciano, Montalcini, San Gimignano are about 40 kilometres away from Gaiole.
