Rifugio Monti Pallidi

Peaceful, breathtaking, enchanting, fresh. these are just some of the words used to describe the beautiful landscape and nature of the Dolomites in Fassa valley. It is here, by the Rifugio Monti Pallidi in the Ladin territory where the balance between man and nature is restored. The Rifugio Monti Pallidi lies in a beautiful natural hollow at the foot of the Pordoi massif, 6 kilometres from Canazei, on the ancient Dolomiti road which leads to the Sella pass.

The house was totally rebuilt and renewed with modern facilities in 1996 and inside there are 12 comfortable rooms. We have decided to maintain its original name Rifugio which means alpine hut, because of its ancient life: the Rifugio Monti Pallidi was built before the construction of the famous Dolomiti road.

If you appreciate the peace and the magic of pure nature without giving up a young and active holiday, then you are in the right place!

Just a 10 minute walk will find you at a natural free climbing falaise and you can enjoy the presence of a group of loving rock whistlers. Also, at the Rifugio Monti Pallidi, you will feel the fascinating atmosphere at the sunrise and at the sunset when the charming Enrosadira (a natural phenomena which turns the mountain walls orange and pink) happens.

The mountains are also connected to the relaxation and the tranquillity of the place, as you will find at the Rifugio Monti Pallidi.

The fire at the fireplace will warm your candlelit dinners and if you take a look behind our windows you may see a roe deer grazing in the meadow or a fox drinking by our tarn.
