The Art Nouveau style Villa at the Oriani Suite was built by the architect Furino in 1929. Furino was a man of considerable sensitivity and tended towards the complex and innovative European style movement which was widespread between 1880 and 1910, a movement which found expression in a vast range of artistic forms: he decided to surround the Villa with a series of frescoes which portray winged horses. To do this, he appointed Duilio Cambellotti, a decorator whose most famous works include the effigies on the "Altar of the Homeland" in Piazza Venezia in Rome.

The Oriani Suite is a historic residence which has recently been restructured and which is immersed in the peace and quite and green nature of the Parioli area which has always been the diplomatic heart of Rome but which is now also becoming an important financial centre and home to the new "dolce vita", thanks to the opening in 2002 of the renowned architect Renzo Piano's "Parco della Musica" Auditorium which is home to one of the most important musical seasons the world over. This area, then, has all the links you need: you can get to the city centre by taking the Metro, just one stop, or walking through the fine Villa Borghese.

The rooms here are furnished with antique objects from the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries: pictures, furniture, carpets, rugs, fine tapestries and wall sconces, all coming together in sublime harmony. The rooms are taken care of down to the minimum detail, are intimate and refined and offer all mod cons: independent entrances, private en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning systems, TVs, access to Internet, mini-bars and room service.
