Located just five kilometres from Siena city centre, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, in the heart of the wonderful nature and art which make Tuscany famous the world over, the "Il Cotogno" bed and breakfast is a romantic place to stay, full of charm and, above all, extremely hospitable. Surrounded by a large garden made available to the guests, where you can enjoy our fine breakfasts in the Summer, the bed and breakfast is the ideal starting point not just for visiting Siena but also for visiting some wonderful little medieval towns with unbeatable charm like Monteriggioni and Abbadia Isola, as well as other well-known sites like San Gimignano and Volterra. The B&B is right beside Baldassarre Peruzzi's Villa Chigi Farnese.

The bed and breakfast has three warm and welcoming double bedrooms (to which a third bed can be added). One of these bedrooms has a private en-suite bathroom. All the rooms look onto the lovely garden.

As well as for those who are visiting the area to see the numerous beautiful artistic treasures in the area, "Il Cotogno" is also perfect for lovers of nature: here we are in the Montagnola Nature Park area, lined by the wonderful Via Francigena.

The area is teeming with little old towns like Monteriggioni, Abbadia Isola and San Galgano, also famous for their food and wine delights, and cult areas like Ponte allo Spino a Socciville, the Augustinian Hermitage in Lecceto, the San Leonardo Hermitage in Lago and the Thirteenth-Century Vallombrosana di Torri Abbey.

The B&B owners will provide you with a whole series of recommendations and ideas for visiting places and areas, off the usual beaten track too, so that you can enjoy the very best local food and wine in the typical local osterie and restaurants, all really near the B&B. Above all, here you will feel the warmth of sincere and attentive hospitality.

The B&B has a private car park and welcomes pets. Children below the age of 10 stay here free-of-charge.
