Arco De' Tolomei Guest House, located in an ancient Roman palazzo, has been lovingly restored by its owners to maintain all the charm and style dictated by its original Romanesque architecture. Nestled in the heart of medieval "Trastevere," one of the most authentic and characteristic areas of Rome, Arco de' Tolomei provides the intimacy of a private palazzo with the comforts of a small hotel. Only a few steps from the Tiber River, the quiet, charming guest house overlooks a cosy piazza.

Rooms are styled with individual accents and appointed with family antiques passed down through generations. Relax on your private balcony, meet other guests in the common parlour room, or check your e-mail on the internet, available free of charge.
The rooms have roman names to them, and recall, the Great Consular Roads, which, over the centuries were extended to make Rome the centre of the world. Take the Via Appia - Regina Viarum - , the Queen of All Highways, or Via Cassia, Via Salaria, Via Flaminia, Via Aurelia - each opening up distant lands. The Via Appia, for instance, was Rome's effective gateway to the East, the Aurelia hugging the coast northwards making for rapid communication with France and Spain.
