This unique home, built from part of an old paper factory which probably dates back to the Middle Ages, is part of a Nineteenth-Century building whose entrance faces the beauty of the Fifteenth-Century Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, in the square of the same name. Due to its secluded position, and despite being right in the heart of the old city centre, it is totally free of the noise of city traffic.

The owners have renovated the home in full respect of its original architectural style (exposed stone, arches, ceilings with wooden beams and trusses) so it is original and lively but also very welcoming.
The residence has several levels, all inter-connected by artistic wrought-iron staircases and its special charm is immediately felt by the guests as soon as they arrive: the spacious areas and rooms can be fully enjoyed as you move from one area to the next.

The apartment available for renting, as well as giving access to the inside of the main building, also has an independent entrance off a delightful internal courtyard facing age-old homes of the Palermo of times past. The furniture is mainly based on wrought-iron elements and ancient furniture items originating from all over Sicily.
The breakfast, based on typical local specialities, can be taken in your apartment, in the spacious dining-room or on the terrace. The space available, also thanks to the special drapery deliberately positioned beside the arches, gives you room for adding a double bed in a "night section" and two single beds in the other section.
