A farmhouse in San Gimignano: warmth and friendliness

Two Km away from San Gimignano, among the characteristic Tuscan hills, you'll find the farmhouse La Marronaia. Its panoramic location allows you to gaze from the towers of San Gimignano up to the Hills of Chianti to the south, and to the Central Pennines to the North. Our farmhouse specializes in the production of wine and oil. Our products are the result of an accurate teamwork and of choices made for our desire of continuous improvement. Right from the start we decided to adopt organic farming and today we are more than satisfied with our choice and the results are a good reason to be proud of it.

The watchtower, dating as far back as the year 1200 DC, is now the core of this characteristic building, which a complex and accurate restructuring made into a small and comfortable agritourism.

To better receive our guests we have planned several different solutions for our apartments. Each apartment has an independent entrance, a garden and is fitted with all amenities. The furniture is typically Tuscan in stile, with no ostentation but of substance.

The structure is equipped with a great garden with a very panoramic view; swimming pool; solarium; open barbecue.

Nearby you'll find golf courses, riding centre, climbing walls, signed courses for mountain bike or trekking walks, bike and motor rent.

From the vineyard "La Marronaia", with Sangiovese grapes, comes our "Intenso", a docg Chianti of the hills around Siena. From the vineyard called "Le Colonne" we produce our "Vernaccia di San Gimignano" docg. In our olive grove we have all the typical olive tree varieties of our region.Our family run organisation will ensure our guests warmth and friendliness.
