| Hospitality in an historic palace in the centre of Asciano |
The Inn, named after the historic "Garbo Bridge" which is situated in Asciano, is located on the first floor of the historic fourteenth century building, Palazzo dei Marchesi Bargagli-Stoffi. From the first floor rooms there is direct access to the large walled garden, which had been the preferred 'space' of the previous nobility: the garden is spacious, accommodating and immersed in nature. From the month of March, one can take advantage of this beautiful space while sipping a morning cappuccino or enjoying an evening aperitif before sampling our culinary specialties and our pizza cooked in a wood burning stove.
The Inn is composed of 5 rooms, which are furnished in a classic Tuscan country-style. Each room contains a private bathroom, heating, TV, mini-bar, a/c and telephone.
The restaurant is composed of two ample dinning rooms on the main floor and hold up to 60 reserved seats. These rooms are characterized by a large arched and beamed ceiling and are furnished in a traditional Tuscan style. In addition, a charmingly suggestive fireplace dominates the space.
The antique cellar contains a rich selection of wines and its suggestive entranceway and arched ceiling date back to the late-Roman period. It is in this antique cellar where you can taste many of the typical culinary specialties of the area while you admire the medieval-gothic well, which is still operative today.
Our chefs offer traditional Tuscan dishes inserted in an extensive menu` which will satisfy your every desire: a vast array of soups, pasta dishes, wild game and fish specialties, pizza, etc
