The hotel Amalfi has offered its warm hospitality since 1972. The building is an old, completely restored, pasta factory situated in the quarter called "Truglio" and is accessible by the main street Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi. Thanks to its old destination the hotel stands in a cool and dry place in the very centre of the town at a few meters distance from the Arab-Norman Cathedral overlooking the main square from its imposing flight of steps. In order to make the guests' stay as comfortable as possible the hotel offers American-bar, TV-room, reading-room, terrace, roof-garden, lift.

The simply but tastefully furnished 40 rooms have WC/shower with hair-dryer , telephone, satellite - TV , safety-box, a lot with air conditioning on payment. Some rooms have balconies livelily coloured with geraniums.

Also the beaches and piers to Salerno, Naples, Ischia, Capri and Positano are near the hotel as well as the bus terminals and parking and all the services useful to those who choose the sojourn in the most ancient of the Italian sea republics.

The restaurant on the 5th floor has been conceived as an open space thanks to its glass windows with view on the Mediterranean style houses of the historical centre. In summer time it is possible to have dinner on the wide terrace, where breakfast is also served.

The cuisine is typical of the region, based on the fresh fish of the Amalfitan coast and the products chosen daily for their quality and genuinity. Every dish is prepared with care and love for the Mediterranean gastronomic tradition.
