Montescatto 12 is a noble house which dates back to 1535 and which has been recently restructured. Old oak beams, brick flooring and traditional local furniture mean you can still feel the historic atmosphere of the farmhouse. Simple furniture with a few oriental elements, picked up on the owners' many travels, make this the ideal residence because of its simplicity and comfort.
Montescatto 12 is also a biological farm so the food you eat here is natural and "clean". Even if they mainly carry out bed and breakfast activities, on request, the owners are more than willing to make dinner for the house guests. A not-to-be-missed opportunity to taste the local cuisine.
In the day area, there is a living room with fireplace and a large living room available to the guests, with TV, hi-fi and a vast library. There are 4 bedrooms: three big double rooms and one with a French bed (for singles or young lovers).
Mountain bikes are available and another curiosity: there is a hair salon for men and women alike.
The Cagli is famous for its truffles picking: of the many Fairs, the most famous is Acqualonga (October - November). About 40 kilometres away, you have the Adriatic sea with Senigallia, Marotta, Fano and, a little further, Ancona with the Cornero headland.
Many art cities are nearby: Urbino, S. Leo, Gubbio, Perugia, Loreto. Then there is Pergola, with its "Golden Bronze" (an equestrian grouping from Roman times), the Fonte Avellana Monastery, the Frasassi grottoes (amongst the most beautiful in all of Italy), the Gola del Furlo gorge which houses Real eagles.... and the hills, green all year round, for wonderful horse rides around the area.
Of the four rooms available to guests, all furnished simply and in harmony with the splendid environment, 2 have a private bathroom while the other 2 share a bathroom.
