REVIEW: What a fantastic place to stay in Sorrento. It was perfectly sited since my husband and I wanted to walk to downtown Sorrento. We were also able to walk easily to neighboring St. Agnello where there were fewer tourists. The Il Roseto hosts were friendly and spoke English. They went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were delicious; top notch with fresh fruits, yogurts, breads, pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice and frothy cappucino. The room was super clean and pretty; superb connectivity for wireless. Our room had a terrace but it was on the driveway so I recommend the other room(s) that are located next to the garden. Our major problem was related to Sorrento itself because the street name was not displayed and the numbering was completely off, making Ils Roseto difficult to find. You also have to access the b& b through a gate that requires the host to open. I recommend a phone call first to get directions. The hosts are on the property all the time so there is no worry about getting in. Tip: if traveling by train, it was easier to disembark at the St. Agnello Stop rather than Sorrento because it is a shorter distance away.
