Himera Polis Hotel

Himera Polis Hotel is located near the gulf of Buonfornello, only 15 km from the charming city of Cefalù. The Hotel is situated in the archeological park of the ancient city Himera. Today you can discover the ruins of this ancient city that was destroyed by the carthagian Hannibal, in the year 409 B.C. Himerapolis Hotel is surrounded by the most wonderful nature. On one side you can enjoy the view of the Madonie Natural Reserve. On the other side it faces the Thirrenian Sea.

The hotel has 50 climatised rooms with beds constructed in sandstone (tufa); just like in the ancient Greek times! The rooms are fully equipped with all sorts of comforts.

Inside the hotel we offer two kinds of restaurants: the elegant Sala Himera with a capacity of 60 persons and the romantic Sala Rustica that has a capacity of 100 persons. Both of them have a private entrance and in both places we serve typical Sicilian and Mediterranean dishes.

The meeting/conference rooms have all kind of facilities. The accomodation here vary from 10 to 100 seats. Other facilities we can offer to you are: bar, terrace. The beach is only two km far. The hotel has a fitness centre, sauna and Jacuzzi.

The position of the hotel is also very important for those who want to discover Sicily with all its treasures, like: Greek archeological Park of Himera; Historical town of Caccamo with the many-towered castle; Cefalù, a charming town built in the Middle-age, that awaits You with its magnificent Norman Cathedral; Solunto, one of the strongholds of the Carthaginian occupation; Last but not least Palermo, because remember that you have not seen Sicily if you haven't been there. Only 45 km away from the hotel, Palermo will show you all the famous monuments from the Arab-Norman period. For instance, the huge Cathedral and the Palatine Chapel (inside the Norman Palace), which is the finest and most harmonious example of Norman art in the whole city.
