Palazzo Torriani |

| A charming stay at an ancient and fascinating manor |
Palazzo Torriani is an Historic Home dating back to the end of the 16th century that has always been owned and been lived in by the ancestors of the present-day proprietors. This home offers its guests a warm welcome in a refined, sophisticated atmosphere, with the utmost courtesy and friendliness of its landlords.
The rooms are fitted out with luxury bathrooms and facilities, antique furniture and extremely comfortable beds, all of which assures a peaceful and gratifying rest for the guests who want class, comfort and elegance for their vacation. We thus believe that the hospitality of Palazzo Torriani is both excellent and fully reflected in the tariffs applied, both for the short one-night stays and for the medium-long stays.
Together with what we have said above, we should add that the building is situated in the centre of the village of Marradi, famed for its historical and artistic traditions and its rural civilisation, which extends along the picturesque, verdant Lamone Valley. All this definitely fosters a pleasant stay that will always be appreciated.
A great cultural and tourist attraction is the chance to breathe in the atmosphere and stroll through the sites that inspired Dino Campana, Marradi's great poet.
A result of the restoration work has been to create three apartments furnished with antique furniture and endowed with every modern convenience, addressed to guests who are keen on spending a holiday in an atmosphere imbued with past times, in the tranquillity of a small, charming village in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines.
There is the chance to go for walks, or to use mountain bikes or go horse-riding, breathing in the pure air of the hills, to visit the nearby art cities (Florence, Faenza, Ravenna, Bologna, Venice, all within easy reach by local trains), to relax in the emerald green garden and savour the typical produce and the recipes of the local cuisine.
Enjoy being well looked after and even 'spoilt' by the landlords. Our guests can savour the wines, the olive oils and other typical products of our territory and, particularly in the autumn-winter period, the so-called "good chestnut" of Marradi and the cakes and biscuits made from the chestnuts. In the other seasons of the year, our guests can try some of the recipes created by Martino, a chef who lived in the second half of the 19th century.
He was very loyal to the Torriani family, and brought to Marradi some recipes for first courses that are still made in the area today. Upon request when making your booking, we can arrange, bearing in mind the teachers' other engagements, courses in traditional local cuisine, and visits, accompanied by tourist and nature guides, to the most enchanting locations in the area. For buffet breakfast, included in the price of the room or the apartment, we offer our guests the chance to savour some typical products of the local territory such as cheeses and fresh yoghurt accompanied by homemade jams, savoury meats and warm fresh-baked cakes.
Available to our guests, besides their apartment, there are some rooms for reading, for listening to music, for holding receptions and a green garden where they can spend some leisurely and restful hours.
Near the mansion there are tennis facilities, a swimming pool less than 1km away, and two private riding schools.
