Tenuta di Lavacchio is a hunting house of the seventeenth century once belonging to the Medici family. In 2008 it was completely restored using both original and new high-quality, hand-made materials.
In 2006 it was completely restored using both original and new high-quality, hand-made materials.
Doors and window frames are made of chestnut ingot, as well as beams and rafters. Greywacke stairs with hand-forged, gold-lightened iron railings and balustrades. Roof are made of makeshift cotto (low ground) and high-quality parquet (first storey).
Windows are made of safety glass and grant thermical insulation. Alarms, RC gates. Single GPL heating sources, ancient fireplaces made of wood and stone in each unit.
The ancient stone walls have been entirely preserved. 8 large bathrooms with jacuzzi or shower, 8 rooms, dressing rooms (a total of 14 bed accomodations, divided in 6 doubles, two single rooms, also suitable for disabled people).
