Materno
An enchanting farmhouse half way between Siena and San Gimignano

Materno is a beautiful farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany, between Siena and Florence, Volterra and San Gimignano. The nice stone buildings are surrounded by ciypress trees, lavender bushes, rosemary shrubs corbezzoli, laurel and roses. On the way to the farm house you can stop gazing at the corn and sunflower fields, olive groves, the sunset on the valley where Cecina river implacable flows.

Colours and perfumes of the past time. At night, when the villages and country houses lights are illuminated, there is a really charming atmosphere.

The terracotta floors, the wooden beams, the stone walls, as the Tuscan rural architecture make the seven appartments of varius tipology (2-4/5-8persons) full of a suggestive charm.

The appartments have indipendent heating, television, hairdryer weekly change of linen.In the spacius garden there are: parking. ping-pong table, children playground, the barbecue and the swimming -pool open from May to September, deckchairs, umbrellas, tables you can taste and buy our olive oil and marmellades.

2 km away there is the "Piattoforte" restaurant where our guests can taste a good course for lunch or dinner. A holiday at Materno is really unforgettable.
