REVIEW: We spent 3 days in Roma at Lauros place. Nice guy, good experience, beautiful terrace and available price for a good room with an own and new renovated bathroom (with toilet). Lauro is this human type of guy, who loves his guests and life itself; We loved him.

REVIEW: The B&B is very well located, close to Vaticano.
During our stay we moved exclusively by foot as each interesting place of Rome was less than 30minutes far from 4th floor B&B.
The owner of the B&B (Lauro) is very nice and welcoming.
We really enjoy the flat (terasse, bathroom and bedroom)
The only negative point is the breakfast, coffea and tea were OK but biscottes and croissants sold in packet were not good at all.
As a conclusion our stay was very pleasant and we enjoy both Rome and 4th floor B&B !!

REVIEW: We had a great stay here, ideally situated, close to all amenities and walking distance from all sightseeing monuments. Just a 2 minute walk from the Vatican City, shops cafes and restaurants.
Accommodation is very basic but newly decorated clean, tidy, presentable and comfortable but very authentic Italy. In terms of breakfast my only comment would be that it is very basic but adequate to get you started in the mornings. The owner of the b&b is very helpful, courteous and friendly, offering lots of information and advice about the local area. I would most definitely stay again and recommend a stay here to family and friends for a comfortable and convenient stay in Rome.

REVIEW: Good stay in Rome !
The 4th floor is just near Vatican and not far from the historical center.
Transport by bus is possible to go to downton and to other sympathic quarters of Rome.
You could also mention the bus line to go directly to the airport without to pass by the Termini station (less expensive and not longer)

REVIEW: Lauro was very welcoming, very helpful and kind. We really enjoyed talking with him a bit in the morning. The appartment has a really good location as well, close to everything but still being kind of residential.
We would have liked to have free access to the terrace. In fact when we chose this B and B it was partially because we thought we would be able to use the terrace. In reality, you are only allowed out there during breakfast. This also meant that we had to go all the way downstairs to smoke.
Otherwise we were very happy, we had all of the basic necessities and nothing crucial was lacking.
Best,
Allison and Florian

REVIEW: We stayed for 3 nights (two 26 year old girls). Lauro was very charming and a great host. The breakfast was not what we expected, "classic Italian" was melba crackers with jam and coffee. We were expecting a little more. Lauro gave us great recommendations for local restaurants that were within our price range.

REVIEW: I spent 5 nights with my boyfriend in the 4th floor bīnīb. Overall it was a really nice place to stay.
Before we arrived we felt a little worried because of some bad reviews we read about this place. But it was not bad at all. We had a nice room with a romantic view to the backyards and all the roofs we could see. The room had a good temperature and even if it got a little hot there was this nice windblower to relieve the exhaustion from the weather. Lauro, the owner of the place, was really nice to us and he didnīt interrupt us when we were in our room. He also was happy to awnser all the questions and pointed out good ways to get from point A to point B.
Itīs the best place to spend your nights when your main goal in Rome is sightseeing, because itīs ony a 3 minute walk to the Vatican. Itīs not that important to have a luxurious bed and breakfest, since you will be so tired after all these days, that when you get back to your room, the only thing you do is sleep.
To all of those that get a little worried about not having a lock on your room, donīt be. Nothing was lost or stolen or touched or looked at whatsoever. Lauro never even came to our room while we were staying there. Heīs a great man who respects others privacy and well-being and i suggest you do the same. He gives you a key of his front door and aparment and that should be all you need to ensure a safe place to keep your things.
For me the breakfast was great. I donīt usually eat in the mornings but free coffee is a great way to get me out of the bed early enough to get to go anywhere i want at a decent time. The bathroom does have a real hook, not a rubberband as you might have read from a certain review.
I strongly suggest this place to everyone, who is looking for a fair price near Vatican and are happy with a simple room and a lovely breakfast. The location saved us a lot of time away from traffic, public transportation and walking.
All the best, Katrin

REVIEW: 4th floor was absolutely incredible, and I can't emphasize enough how fabulous my stay was.
Firstly, Lauro, the owner of the apartment, was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating, and made me feel so at home from the very first day. He prepares breakfast for you on a beautiful terrace each morning, and goes out of his way to help in whatever way he can. I even had a terrible 24 hour bug when I was staying with him, and he called his doctor for to see what he would recommend and offered to pick me up any medication if I needed it! A very sweet, very helpful, and very charming Italian man!
Secondly, the location. Walking distance to whatever site in Rome you want to visit. (apart from maybe the Catacombs but even then, one could technically walk!) YET nestled away from all the hubbub and daily commotion.
Thirdly, the price. You can see it for yourself.
It's a no-brainer! Stay at 4th Floor in Rome with Lauro on your next visit.

What is the score 1 to 10? one being worse and 10 best? It is not clear.
If 10 is best that is my score. if 1 is best my score is wrong.

REVIEW: 4th Floor is a lovely B&B in a fantastic location. The host is a wonderfully fun and welcoming man who speaks remarkably good English. The bathroom and breakfast were minor let-downs, but the immaculate room and (again) great location more than make up for those. Highly recommended for anyone on a modest budget.

REVIEW: We enjoyed staying in the double room appartment 4th floor. It was clean, comfortable and the best: the central, pleasant position and surrounding - everything easily to reach in walking distance, nice typical italian trattorias nearby.
Maybe to things not for everyone: to share the bathroom with the owner, room not lockable (for us no problem, because the owner seems us very reliable)
