Ca' Lucano
An extremely nice farm guest house in the heart of Tuscany

The agriturismo "Ca' Lucano", completely built in stone, was probably founded on the ruins of a medieval holy building. The recent renovation, which made use of original building materials such a stone, fired brick, and wood, is a careful restoration which culminated in the rebirth of the beautiful original structure. Ca' Lucano is located at 500 m of altitude, right in the heart of the green rolling hills of Tuscany, 12 kilometres from Arezzo.

The road to reach it used to be nothing more than a narrow footpath. Today, that path has widened slightly due to the coming and going of our friendly visitors. The path winds uphill, through open pastures and thick vegetation - at times, almost giving the impression that the path's end is near. Suddenly, just after a turn, one reaches the top of the hill, revealing an endless and majestic view of the valley below; the house overlooks the valley, called Val Cerfone. If you're looking for an opportunity to rest, you won't be disappointed.

Every season carries a host of attractive features at Ca'Lucano: summer is always a pleasure as the cool breeze soothes the strong summer heat; spring is wonderful for practically any pastime, including walks, cultural visits, getting a little tan and just chit-chatting away among friends; winter offers visitors a chance to unwind in front of a warm fire, after having taken long strolls in any of the neighbouring towns or after having visited the famous Antique Fair in Arezzo (held regularly on the first Sunday of every month).

However, the truly magnificent season is autumn; during the fall the entire valley - and particularly the Pero Palace - are renound for the seasonal harvest of wild porcini mushrooms and for the ensuing Mushroom Fair (held annually on the first or second week in September).

In our restaurant we only serve breakfast and lunch but we do not serve dinner. There is an excellent and typical Tuscany cuisine restaurant located in Palazzo del Pero only 2.5 km away from Ca'Lucano with whom we have special arrangement in place for our guests if you wish.

The pool overlooks a panoramic view of Val Cerfone. Dimensions: 16m x 8m (depth range: 1.40m to 2.80). Large stairway leading into the pool. Two sides are level to the surface of the water. Highly sophisticated filtering system. Water purity maintained through marine salts, instead of chlorine. Guests are offered deck chairs and parasols.
