The "Ca' del Sole" Bed & Breakfast is located right in the heart of Venice, in the Sestiere di Cannaregio area: this central area is pretty but also very peaceful, far removed from the tourist hustle-and-bustle and traffic. Just ten minutes on foot from the Train Station and fifteen minutes from Piazzale Roma, the apartment is located near Campo dei Mori, a small square which once used to play host to the silk traders coming from Morea, right beside the house of the famous painter Jacopo Tintoretto, the author of so many Venetian masterpieces.

In this part of the city, which is still inhabited by real Venetians, you will find the fascinating Jewish Ghetto, with its five synagogues, the S. Maria della Misericordia School and the lovely Madonna dell'Orto Church.

It is just a short trip to get to Ca' d'Oro, the magnificent building rich in precious marble and fretwork beside the Grand Canal and home to one of the most important art collections in the city. About 10 minutes away on foot, there is the famous Rialto Bridge and the Saint Mark's Square area.

The house, recently restored, goes back to the Seventeenth Century: it has its own entrance, surrounded by evergreen plants, and has two floors. It has its own special charm and the layout has been cared for to the finest detail: it is furnished with splendid antique furniture and decorated with ancient ceramic tesseras from Anatolia and Morocco.

The apartment also has a large convivial kitchen with Nineteenth and early-Twentieth Century furniture where breakfast is served, a bathroom with 1930's taps and fittings, a pleasant lounge area with a double sofa bed, a double room with Art Nouveau furniture and a small private bathroom for the B&B guests.
