"Poggio al Sole" for us is a choice of life style, a return to nature, but before that it was a dream, consisting of stone houses immersed in the silver-green and peacefulness of the olive trees, in union with the rhythms of the seasons. In our imagination it was nestled by the woods with its scents and colours, giving to the sight and the spirit a sense of fresh tranquillity.

Over looking on a vast and quiet valley, it had to offer the possibility of feeling part of the generous surrounding nature. We were looking for a small borough, with little streets made of stones limiting old walls and sparse houses like niches on the hillside: and here we found it.

"Poggio al Sole" is our dream come true: lovingly and carefully restored, using the original materials typical of the area, it offers comfortable and attractive accommodation, without depriving it from it's original look.

Our guests can spend time in harmony, and benefit from the slow pace of life, bathe in our swimming pool, have long walks or bike rides in the many nearby green paths or visit the marvellous surroundings.

Lake Trasimeno with its simple beauty, artistic towns like Arezzo, Siena, Perugia, Florence and antique boroughs like Pienza, Montepulciano and Assisi, are easy to reach, while the nearby Cortona, surrounded by its etrurian walls is a little jewel to discover.

Staying with us you can taste the flavours of our land, trying our olive oil and our organic wine. We will help you discover the Tuscan cuisine, with cooking classes.
