Castello di Spessa |
|
| An impressive atmosphere for a romantic stay in Friuli region, Italy |
The origins of the Castle date back to 1200. Ever since a succession of noble people and illustrious personalities, among which Giacomo Casanova, have marked the Castle's history and its vocation for hospitality, primarily made for by its 15 bedrooms/suites.
The manor rooms and the guest quarters represent a perfect setting for banquets and ceremonies, in particular weddings, during which the adjoining neo-gothic chapel can be put at the guests'
disposal.
Upon reservation it is also possible to visit the
medieval ageing cellars.
The Castle annex houses a congress
room for over 100 people.
In the next-door shop you can buy the wines produced by the "Castle of Spessa" and "La Boatina", the spirits by "De Mezzo", as well as typical local products. At the foot of the Castle you can find the hotel restaurant "La Tavernetta", where the chef offers a highly-
selected cuisine of international meat and fish dishes.
The
hundred places in the restaurant are distributed in three
rooms, particularly suitable to host ceremonies and events.
The ten bedrooms, which are served by a lift, are fully furnished and equipped to meet comfort and elegance.
