A stone-built country house from 1904 which has been fully restructured, with 2500 metres of garden, in the perfect position: the "Il Paglia Agriturismo" farm guesthouse. This is the ideal place for spending some truly relaxing time, where you can recharge your batteries in contact with uncontaminated nature, silence and healthy clean air. All of this just a stone's throw from the infinite number of cultural and artistic attractions of three Italian regions: Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria, just a few kilometres from the Lake of Bolsena and the "Monte Rufeno" Natural Reserve, with the chance to get involved in sports like horse-riding, trekking, mountain biking, sailing and surfing on the lake.

The farm guesthouse provides its guests with five independent apartments, two of which have two rooms. The other three have three rooms. With the exception of one of the apartments, all have fully-fitted kitchens, a fireplace and a television set.

All the apartments are nicely furnished in a rustic country style: nothing has been left to chance and all mod cons and total charm are guaranteed.

Outside the country house, there is a lovely grass five-a-side football pitch, a table-tennis table, a barbecue and two wooden ovens: you are free to use these whenever you want.

In true farm guesthouse style, then, our guests will have the chance to recharge their batteries by playing sports, relaxing in contact with nature and tasting the biological food products, always in season and produced here on site.

The strategic position of "Il Paglia" is the envy of all: here you are right beside the beautiful landscapes and artistic wonders of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. It is just a few kilometres to the "Monte Rufeno" Natural Reserve, with its 3000 hectares of forest. Here, you can go trekking and mountain biking. Nor must we forget the lovely Lake of Bolsena (20 km away), where you can get involved in water sports and visit the beautiful islands. All around, you will find the Etrurian "Tuscia" region with its infinite number of Etruscan vestigial, such as Tuscanica, Pitigliano and Tarquinia. Orvieto is just 30 km away; Viterbo 50 km; Siena 80 km.

You will have a whole series of opportunities to visit places where you will be treated to great food and wine: Montalcino (40 km), S. Quirico d'Orcia. Visit the thermal spa facilities at places like S. Casciano dei Bagni (18 km), Bagni di S. Filippo (23 km), Bagno Vignone (40 km) and Saturnia (60 km). Immerse yourselves in the boundless charm of small towns like Civita di Bagnoreggio, Radicofani, Cetona, Sartiano and Pienza (all within a radius of 30/40 km). Finally, you can get involved in sports like skiing and mountain walking on Monte Amiata (25 km away).
