Castello di Fulignano
A spendind panoramic view and the greatest charm

Ancient fortress and country home, located in one of the areas of the Francigena, on a hill overlooking the Valley of Elsa and the famous town of San Gimignano. Its 360° panoramic view offers the tourist a vision of rare beauty. One could lose himself in the breathtaking panoramas of Casole d'Elsa, Castellina in Chianti, Barberino Val d'Elsa, Alpi Apuane, the Aretine mountains and hills surrounding the city of Volterra. The large pool in which our guests relax and enjoy their vacation in complete silence is surrounded by an Italian garden and a terrace with cypress and olive trees.

The Castle is furnished with a large entry room and cantina/restaurant. Those who really appreciate fine food and drink won't miss the occasion to savour traditional Tuscan foods and well known wines. A terrace bar is available to serve guests while they relax at the pool and during meals.

The Castle is composed of 12 independent apartments, some connected, covering 3 floors. All rooms have a view of San Gimignano and are equipped with air conditioning, shower, telephone, satellite TV and safe.

The rooms vary from 60 to 80 square meters and are composed of a bedroom, bathroom, bath, living room and fully equipped kitchen. The elegant furnishings respect 8th century Tuscan style and the leather sofas and chairs, enchanting the traveller with refined colours and comfort. The floors are in ceramic and the wooden beams of the roof are made of chestnut wood. Some apartments have a chimney.

For those with a passion for nature and art, the area offers a multitude of nature paths that can explored by foot, mountain bike or by horseback. Some of these paths, such as the Francigena, are historically important, but even the less known paths permit the visitor to enjoy the extraordinary vies of San Gimignano, Volterra, Casole, Montaione, Barberino, Val d'Elsa, Colle Vald'Elsa and Siena.
